Area 14 Chairman's Trophy

It is great news we bring from the quiz night.  The Deben Junior Teams were presented with the Chairman's Trophy for Area 14.  This area covers the whole of East Anglia and the presentation was made by Mr Tim Walrond, Chairman of  St Edmunds Riding Club. This trophy is made to the Riding Club, who, over the past year have accumulated the most points from their placings over all team events.

These impressive results prove what a great bunch of talented youngsters we have coming up through the ranks.  These are exceptional riders and deserve all the praise due to their commitment, enthusiasm and determination they have shown in 2006.  The younger members of the Juniors also had great results through the past twelve months and these are shown on the relevant competition page.

At this point I would like to thank all those who have contributed in any way towards helping our Juniors achieve these awards, special thanks go to Ann Thomson who helped with our dressage training.

The only competitions to elude us this year were the Riding Test and the Hunter Trials, so we must aim higher in 2007.  No, seriously, you have all excelled yourselves and should be very proud of your achievements.

The only down side to this is asking the Treasurer, Lorraine, to dig deep and pay for all the additional engraving!

Our thanks go to Colne Valley for holding the Quiz night and to Tim Walrond for presenting the award.  We are very grateful and look forward to 2007
