Junior
Team Report from Debbie Mace
Well the day dawned bright,
fine and very, very hot. It makes a change from
wellies and overcoats we have become used to at this event!.
The Juniors were all well presented and all on time in their
arenas. We fielded three teams, Deben Red, Deben Black
and Deben Gold.
The Red team consisted of Posy 1st Arena/1st Qualifier,
Grace 3rd Arena/3rd Qualifier, Isaac 5th Arena,5th
Qualifier, Alice 1st Arena/1st Qualifier. Overall the
team came 1st
The Gold team consisted of Chelsey 8th Arena/6th Qualifier,
Charis 7th Arena/6th Qualifier Annabel 9th Arena/7th
Qualifier and Tiffany 13th Arena/9th Qualifier. Overall the
team came 11th
The Black team consisted of Joanne 9th Arena/8th Qualifier,
Carrie 5th Arena/5th Qualifier Joe 6th Arena/5th Qualifier
and Rosie 4th Arena/4th Qualifier. Overall the team came 4th
As well as the teams we put forward two teams for pairs
dressage - Grace and Isaac who were placed 1st, and Chelsey
and Tiffany who were placed 3rd.

As individuals for Prelim 13 the following results were
gained. Grace 1st, Carrie 2nd, Eleanor 3rd and Chelsey 4th.
Other individuals entered but unplaced were Joanne and
Megan. Naomi was also placed 5th in Prelim 10 and
Chelsey was 4th.
As always we await final confirmation from Riding Clubs Head
office of the names of those that qualified for Lincoln so
keep an eye on the web site!
All in all I would like to
take this opportunity to praise all the Juniors for their
hard work and effort which have obviously paid off through
the training we have had from Sarah and Mike Hallows, which
has been invaluable.
Thanks also to parents who were helpful and supportive to
myself and Lynn, both before and on the day, it makes a
difficult job that little bit easier. Also a special
thanks to Nancy Holmes for washing all the saddlecloths.
As we had so many Juniors, it was impossible to find Deben
saddlecloths for all competitors, therefore I would like to
ask if anyone has forgotten to return one could they please
pass them on to a Committee Member.
Once again I hope all the Juniors had en enjoyable day.
